From internship to permanent position at BIRN Germany
Sven Petig started working at BIRN Germany in 2020 after completing an internship in collaboration with Fliedner Werkstätten, an organisation that supports people with disabilities. The internship proved to be a positive experience for Sven and his personal development.
- The internship was a very good experience for me. My supervisors and colleagues took my needs into account, and I was gradually given more responsibility as soon as I was ready for it. That gave me the courage to work independently later on, says Sven Petig, continuing:
- My experiences during the internship showed me that BIRN Germany contributes a lot to the development of its employees, both professionally and personally.
Throughout his internship, Sven Petig proved to be motivated and reliable, and his excellent performance led to him being offered a permanent position.
- I was very pleased that they wanted to keep me as an employee after my internship. It was a great compliment, and I feel like an important part of the team, he says.
Sven Petig now works as a production employee, manufacturing important products for BIRN Germany's customers. His tasks include operating the machine to ensure precise, systematic processing of the parts and checking the correct quantities for the customer. It is a role that suits him very well.
- In addition to my work tasks, I also really enjoy the pleasant working environment at BIRN Germany. I like being part of a team where everyone is listened to and respected, says Sven Petig.
